Welcome to the homepage of the nxtvepg software package, which enables you to receive and browse Nextview EPG on your PC. Nextview is an ETSI standard for the broadcast of Electronic TV Programme Guides in TV signals, alongside to teletext (both analog and digitally via DVB.) New release 2.8.1 (Oct/10/2008)

The latest release 2.8.1 fixes many bugs large and small. All users of 2.8.0 should upgrade. Some of the most important fixes are:

• Several bugs in the Linux driver interface were fixed which made acquisition fail to start on certain Linux installations.
• A bug in the Nextview EPG data stream decoder was fixed which sometimes lead to display of corrupt or entirely blank network names.
• A bug in TV application channel table import was fixed which sometimes caused wrong names to be associated with channels.
• Various display bugs were fixed which were introduced by the upgrade to Tcl/Tk version 8.5 in nxtvepg release 2.8.0 (such as incorrectly displayed special characters in the main window and configuration dialogs; problems when searching for such characters; on Linux even a crash upon program start with certain versions of the Tcl/Tk library.)

• Mailing list: Currently used only for announcements of pre-releases. But it's also open for technical discussions between developer(s) and users of the nxtvepg software. Requires subscription.

Before posting a question, please check if it isn't answered in the manual and look through the mailing list archives and the forum if the same question hasn't been asked recently.
